Susync app for iPhone and iPad

Susync is a platform to coordinate people all over your city, or all over the world, using your smartphone. The app syncs your phone to within milliseconds of everyone elses, and can then cue musicians who are in different places, start a timed contest, sync sound up to video screens, and more depending on the project you select.

In 2014, a version of this app was used to coordinate hundreds of singers in New York City for a performance of Pete Wyers "And Death Shall Have No Dominion", part of Make Music New York. On June 21, 2015, it will be used for a performance of Mischa Zupkos "Call Your Dad" for Make Music Chicago.

Susync was programmed by Ahmad Alokush and Chris Welsh, and commissioned by American Opera Projects, Fort Greene Park Conservancy, Make Music Alliance, Make Music New York, and Opera Moda.
